770 POWROLL KIT?

Wow, what a thread, even if it doesn't have anything to do with the original post!
Please refrain from using the name SANDPIG when referring to the DS. I have had it trademarked!

Sorry, but the testosterone and name calling are getting a bit thick here.
AZSand - I'm sorry if you've found it difficult to contact Powroll.
Maybe the number you have is incorrect? 541-923-1290. The company has three incoming lines, and it is very rare that all three are busy. If you can give me dates and times you've called, I'll be happy to have the phone guy check the system and see if we've got some problem we're not aware of. Mondays are typically very hectic, but it's still rare that all three lines are busy.
Otherwise, an email to our address listed on the website will always receive an answer.
Any questions asked honestly will receive an answer.
However, I don't think the rude chest-pounding attitude exhibited by some people here won't get you very far with ANY quality engine builder you contact.
Truthfully - like stated before, the Raptor 770 we built ISN'T a drag bike. The customer wanted something fun to ride at the dunes that could occasionally blast down the drag strip with the Banshees. He's got what he wants.
As far as 'competing' against this group? From the sophomoric challenges and responses I've seen here, I'd rather roll in the mud with pigs. However, we don't own the quad in question, so it's up to the owner.
I won't be responding to any more statements here. Anyone with any trace of actual interest in Powroll and what we do is more than welcome to contact us at the number listed above. We're happy to answer any questions. For those of you who wish to simply argue, continue here as you've been doing. This is apparently a great place to do so.

Although I have refrained from being part of these discussions, I might just have some information (more like my own experience) that could be worth a thought.
After interveiwing through phone calls, in an effort to find an engine builder that could build my raptor motor (over a year or so ago) I asked ALOT of questions.
You name the company, I called them. A partial list was (in no particular order) CT, TC, Trinity, Powroll, Bikeworx and FST. Many pros and cons to each, but one thing that was a real deal breaker regarding "Powroll" was, they would NOT port the head. This was hard for me to believe and something you must consider if your thinking about the Powroll-770 or other kit. This is not a complete kit without the head work! If you'll notice in the article mentioned regarding the kit, there is NO PRICING for HEAD WORK! The bike featured was said to have head work, but listed in pricing there was no mention of it.
Now, they might be offering this work today, but be sure to ask. If you think your getting the same bike as what was shown (or similar), head work will be needed.
Make sure you ask questions, because sometimes not enough questions will result in you not being happy with the end result!
I hope I have opend some further discussion regarding the original topic.

Pam,
Did your ex-employee Mickey Dunlap help you with your last off color post? Everyone on this post enjoys fast ATVs. Your web site appears to be all about fast ATVs. The magazine article is all about a "fast" ATV. This thread started with a question about your 770 engine kit. I was interested in learning more about it as was most of the people who posted here. There was no "chest pounding" by anyone as you claim.
Unfortunately, it took ages for you to respond to this post and you never responded to my direct e-mail or my two separate posts on your favorite web site. My questions were legitimate as was the question that started this post.
When you finally appeared here, you took the Mickey "OneLap" Dunlap approach and stated that my "calculator was bad" and that you were on vacation when I asked you about the motor. In both instances, I pointed out my belief that you were not correct. In response, you said that your "guru" would appear and explain why his math was somehow better than mine. I welcomed what I thought would be a great discussion about piston acceleration rates -- especially from a Company that claims to have been in business since the mid-sixties. Heck, it could have been the opportunity for you to pick up some performance business --- you obviously went through the trouble of the magazine article for that purpose (I hope). Instead of doing what you said, you reappear and call everyone junkies and remark that the questions about your engine are not legitimate. That is a bunch of Mickey Dunlap style BS.
I believe my question about piston speed is legitimate. I believe the question about how you can sell the "same" 770 kit for a few hundred dollars and not mention that you will need some major engine work should be answered. I believe that the question about head work is legitimate. Your statement that the 770 kit does not require any head work vs. your employee's statement that the cylinder head would cost $10,000.00 to duplicate needs to be answered. I have raised intake ports on the 660 as well. I just question why you would raise intake ports on a motor that is intended for low rpm torque. Raised ports are typically used for high rpm operation (road bikes) -- something that is opposite to what you apparently built. What about the question about burnt pistons? All of these questions are "legitimate" and should be answered in a professional manner.
You appear on various forums and profess your expertise in the field. Now is your opportunity to shine. The floor is yours.......

We'll happily discuss any engine performace questions or issues with anyone via phone, email or fax.
Our working hours are 8am to 5:30pm Monday through Thursday. Fridays until noon.
Anyone interested in Powroll and our performance products can contact us.
I apologize for not allowing myself to be baited into responding to every challenge here. I apologize to those real, honest people who are here just looking for answers. Unfortunately, those good people seem to get lost in this group which, on the whole, seems to simply be looking for a fight.
