one of the unfortunate things missing here is feedback from some of the bigger motors (727), I'm not sure what jon (720raptor) is running currently but he is probably your best source of info on the diff betweent the 2. the initial complaints about oil in the coolant (or vice/versa)on the early 727 motors seem to have been addressed, but most of the motors you see here are 686 (690 if you use sparks math ;-) ), the 770 motor in dirtwheels without the NOS seems to have similar output to the 727's but they seem to be somewhat specialized in their usefullness, pam should be able to answer questions on that motor. other options are turbo which also put out close to 70HP, again a relatively special application. Harry at trinity is a pretty busy guy (still waiting for that call harry), but he should also be able to get you good info on the 2 motors

isnt the 800 kit coming out of development? should be available before 4stroke-wars, maybe it can compete with one of those "production" sparks motors that were'nt running exotic fuel
glad my wife doesnt read these, its already hard to explain those deliveries from Trinity, addressed to "whacked out quad rider"

<< I agree with 14mins, 45auto, knutz, raptor720, kingraptor, velocityraptor, airraptor, azsand, vegas650, swytak, and pam falcioni. I am starting a new company and you are all hired. Separate offices for everyone but happy-hour on Fridays (together!!!) is mandatory. Now....the first order of business is building the fastest and most reliable Raptor and DS motors on the planet. GET TO WORK and discuss your findings here!!!

I'd like a raise, shorter hours, and a corner office! I figure if I can't get those things working for myself, I'll hit you up for them.

Maybe I am missing something here, but wouldn't it be nice to see a real dyno graph from the companies that are claming "XX hp" for a 686 and "XX hp" for a 727 or 770 or 800? I have asked numerous times for dyno numbers from anyone and everyone, but you know how many answers or replies I've received? Zero! I know some of you have posted numbers and some have PM'ed me numbers, but it would be nice to compare graph's or post the run files on a website(I've got plenty of room on my host!). But maybe real proof of a dyno run isn't important?

Hell, I'll work for discounted parts and field testing priviledges!!! I don't have the most impressive resume...but I've got plenty o enthusiasm and interest! We can call it N.E.W.S.atvs, we'll have people from all locations calling to find out what's going on...It'll be the biggest ATV oasis on I-40 West of the Mississippi (amarillo?) and far enough east of the Left Coast that the beaucrates might leave us the hell alone. Graphics, appearal, spell check, a CNC machine shop second to none, etc., etc. And finally, enough collective stroke and bargining power to put quad racing where it belongs...right up front with the same two-wheeler fans that make Supercross such a lucrative venue...instead of a side-show act at the freeking monster truck comps! Let's get it on!

Something Pam brought up earlier makes sense to me use % instead of or along with numbers. For ex this pipe gave 10% more power and the 12/1 piston added 3% more the cam was plus another 3% with a total of 18% more, I mean we could all add the % right. This way there would be no discrepancy about what kind of dyno machine or the weather or... get the idea. I don't know alot about dynos but this would be very informative to me.

Ok, I hear all of you talking about who's got the best performance for the dollar, who's the best builder, who builds the most reliable motor, etc. etc. Where in the he!! are your dyno runs to prove what you build? Surely you have some type of proof(proof may not be the proper word, Verification?), other than just posting a number?

Raptor720, you have helped me through the entire build of my motor, and have told me you have spent days on the flow bench working with different combonations and port configurations, but I have never seen you post any dyno runs? I don't mean to single you out, and I can understand that you are probably doing things to your motor that most have not thought to do. But what does it hurt to share the numbers and graph's, nobody will be able to tell whats in the motor unless you tell them.

Trinity, Sparks, Powroll, FST, Knutz, etc. You surely have dyno graph's that could be shared? I know some of you use different Dyno's which rate HP in different ways, in those cases it should be noted.

Maybe Sparks really can produce a motor that runs 15 bike lengths ahead of a similarly built Trinity motor both running on non-exotic fuel. How will anyone know unless they run the bike on a dyno? I'm confused!

I agree 100% that it would be nice to see dyno's on the motor, but I would hate to see it fall into the argument that came up when dirtwheels tested the raptor exhaust and the winner was ct on whose dyno the tests were run. I would be satisfied with each shops dyno's, and yes I am aware of how much variability there can be from shop to shop, but you would never get sparks to go to trinity or ct to sparks and so on. what I would love is dynos on each cam, dynos on port modification including different valve configs (oversize 1 or how about all 3 intake), piston size and so on. you could pick your mods based on dynos for the changes you are looking at. just a pipe dream i guess, but how would you like a site where you pick the mods and it generates and "estimated" dyno based on data gathered from separate dyno runs, damn i just drooled on my keyboard
