Moose you said that you compress the rear end, after you do this do you have any shock travel? Good point about the shock I would have never thought about that.

Zukimanmx I like the idea of using the footpeg bolts since I don't have a skidplate. Looks like I would have to come up with a new spot for the upper mount since this is on dirt. Maybe something like Moose's.

RRR hows the Raptor running now? I haven't heard after the whole jet problem. We have a few drags around here. The one I am talking about is in Petal every other weekend. It runs along with mud bogs. There are alot of fast cars that do the drag but just afew fast quads. I am also planning on racing at Hub City Dragway in the 1/8 to shut up one of my loud mouth friends with a vet, I gotta beat an 8. The weekend after Mem day I am going to Brookhaven to "Mark's" a couple guys on here go and I am going to check it out then. If its worth it I'll bring mine the next time. I'm out of the quad scene for a couple weekends till I get my **** backordered jets. I will be working on this wheely bar during this time. If you want to come play in a few weeks drop me a line and we'll go.

Mussa see above. I let you know when for sure.

Ward660R, No I don't have any shock travel, That's the whole point. Having no suspension travel the power transfers to the rear wheels imeadiatly, you don't have to compress the suspension first. This improved both my reaction times & 60 foot times. On a rough track I don't know how this would work but we run on a well groomed track so no suspension is not a problem.

I'm taking this to the next level, I'm going to replace the front shocks with solid struts.

Instead of a shock we make the bar so it flexes a little when we pick up the quad with the wheelie bar & air pressure in the go-cart tire.

I've got a bunch of aluminum struts that take hyme (SP?) joints. I'm gonna do some experimenting with several different lengths at the july test & tune. I've got it set up pretty good right now so I'm not going to change anything till after the nationals.
