The 02 gears seem to be in, then back on back order. I had to wait nearly a month, just for the reverse gear. Yamaha of Troy is where I got them.
It seems that if there is a part that has been breaking quite-a-bit on the Raptor, it will most likely be on back order at one time or another.
The sad part of the story is, Yamaha and it's dealers are making money hand over fist on the 02 tranny (not including all of us who had replaced the first 01 tranny with the same 01 that failed in the first place). This is BS, since they should have manufactured the gears to hold up in the first place. Just think, they not only sold you and how many other thousands of atv enthusiasts a yamaha Raptor, but they get to take another $400-$500 in updated tranny busininess too (some twice)! Plus the labor for tear down, install, any other parts that have been damaged (due to the tranny failing), and installing those parts as well.
Yamaha should of just had a MSRP of $7000.- for the Raptor and manufactured a tranny that would hold up. Instead they choose to bend each of us over, time and time again.
Thanks Yamaha!
