Help with my Elka's
#1
I just installed 19"Elka's w/rezzies and quad rate spring with Houser's long travel a-arms. I've never used an aftermarket susspension but think mine is way to soft. If I stand on the front bumper the shock completely compresses (The top shock body will touch the bumper on the bottom). Is this normal or are they too soft?

You said, " if I stand on the front bumper the shock completely compresses (the top shock body will touch the buper on the bottom)
How is that? Your bumper moves with the frame, shock, motor, etc, etc, etc........Unless you got some kind of crazy stationary bumper, what's the bumper mounted to?
You should notice that your quad is going to sit much lower and will be much softer through the "initial" shock travel. If it is truly bottoming or is extensively soft, by chance did lines going to the shock body or to the res get broke loose. This would cause the shock to loose nitrogen and oil, thus allowing the shock to have 0 pressure other then the springs themselves.
