sit on the blaster see how u feel
u might want to move up to a used banshee

for comparing it to a 300EX i would have to aggee with yamblaster stock vs stock a blaster should win but i wouldn't quite use the term kill or waste though. However if you put a pipe on both and filter and proper jetting the blaster will pull away

i did read another post about some drag races they said (he rode the modded warrior)
a piped Blaster smoked 2 300EXs one stock and the other with gearing changes and beat his moded warrior and gave a good fight to the Z400
good luck with your decision

All I want is something faster and weighs less, but I do not want to pay 4500 for a 300ex when a blaster is only around 3,000 and they both run about the same. I also can not justify paying more than 5000 for a quad for no more than I would get to ride it, So a new Banshee is out of the question. I may not even get another quad right away. I would get more use out of a street bike or dual sport bike because of living so close to where I work, and it would be legal to ride to work. I'm just kind of confused.

Yes finally Yamaha has updated the Blaster's brakes to a disc setup. That is really why I am considering a blaster now.

the heck with the new brakes! I got fed up with the brakes on my '90, so i made a bracket for the caliper, modded the pedal, and now i have the front setup off of a YZF crotch rocket. that double piston caliper gets a hell of a bite- stops great for about $5 and my time.

remember, southern ingenuity is your friend!
