yeah, they let it breathe better and quicker. if you want to spend the cash, get a rad valve about $120 or you could go for a set of carbon fiber reeds and a reed spacer-$50-$60! I'm fixin' to order the reeds and spacer. i've got almost the same setup as you except mine's a '90 and i've got a uni instead of a K&N- paper is a pain in the a$$!

if you want to change your gear ratio, just change to a different size sprocket!

Reed valves allow more gas in and give good power throughtout the revs....It is about 20-40 dollars for sprockets which will change the gearing on a blaster.

Will a 250R or 125 mx bike cage work in a Blaster? I have an after market cage in a blaster and I don't know which one it is. I locked at some reeds, the above mentioned, today and they both look similar. Their is no writing on the cage or the reeds. Can somebody help?
Thanks

Thanks that is a start. Its actualy a freinds that I rebuilt. When I put the reeds back in I noticed how bad they were so he went and got some more. The Blaster reeds he came back with don't match the ones in it.
