Weird question.. We usually see Elka's compared with Axis, TCS, PEP, and other ZPS style shocks...

The Ohlins on my R are pretty worn, single rate with piggy back rezzy's.. They're pretty nice still, but they need rebuilding. The dual rate Works I had on the Banshee were more plush than these things. A friend of mine has some new dual rate Ohlins. They're nice, but I personally don't think they're up to par with other ZPS technology.

You cannot compare Ohlins to Elkas

Ohlins are at the bottom of the range compared with Works shock.
Whereas Elkas are at the top compared with PEP, Custom Axis, etc.

I will be going PEP. For what you get, the price is reasonable.

The main reason I would chose the Elkas is the looks, way better looking shock. Not to mention how the heck do you actualy pronounce "Ohlins".

Actualy everyone is right the Ohlins just aren't up to the standars of the others. They are more closely related to Works than the other 4.

I run the elka triple rates ,zero preload and love them. I cannot say this enough, I always wondered why spend that kind of $$$ of suspension, etc but the first time, second time, etc it saved my bacon I was glad I had them, there is a difference and you wont regret them PLUS they have RED metal on them.
