I forget this every time. Example: When you say 4th clip position on your carb needle do you count from the top or the bottom?

Hey G,

Will lowering the needle lean out the entire circuit? or just the lower to mid half?? Thanks!

I might not know the reference point for clip position but I do know that moving it will only affect your F/A ratio at 1/8 to 3/4 throttle. Thanks Gary.

Thanks Murph! I'm okay on full throttle, but believe I am slightly rich on everything in-between, especially lower 3rd! I believe I'm gonna drop them one and see. I am currently on the 4th position from the top, I will go to the 3rd and hope for the best.

Remembering that it is all Dyno Jet components, I am at 150/155 in the 4th position.

But would like to lean out the lower 3rd of the circuit a little. Thus wanting to drop the needles a hair. What do you think? The plug seems perfect at full throttle.

Sounds like that is exactly what you need to do.

Thanks again.

Does anyone else out there happen to be on the 5th clip position from the top?? Or would I be a loner?!

I had an e-series with 16 discs, dynojet 148/150, needle clip in 3rd slot from top, K&N filter...ran great!!
