anyone have top speed numbers on your blaster or 400ex? modded or stock, doesnt matter, just curious. also, how fast do you get going in the dunes, i know pavement produces really good speed, but how bout the dunes. i havent found the time or guts to push the ol rap to tops in the sand.

my bike will hit over 65 on the dune but that was on 4th gear and it was still pulling before 5th gear and didn't get there due to run out of room. Also getting a greater chance get the ticket that fast on the beach since speed limit is 25.

Well, last year before I added a few mods I gould only get to 56 MPH on my Banshee with 10 paddle haulers. I go much faster now with 8 paddles - maybe 65. On pavement I can get well into the 80's by way of comparison (84 MPH with pipes but before all of the other mods, not sure what it is now).

thanks wyo, im happy for all of the info. i had my 03 rap wide open in fifth on a dirt road but i have no idea how fast i was going. i do know i was scared!!! it seems like it was skating on the gravel/dirt and not driving. i dont think i got to the top speed though, because i only opened it up to catch my buddies who left me when i got a drink.

 

i got up to 62 on it now but when it was stock 54.

was size tires do you have are they stock

That was the rappy and the gearing was 14/41 with 22" rear tire of taller hauler. So it like running 14/39.
