-Worst Atv Ever Made-
The list hasn't changed in the last 20 years........the same two make the list.
[1].........1982-1985 Kawasaki KLT250 series
These things were laden with problems with the locking rear differential, electrical problems, and transmission failures. All of which were very costly to fix and nothing was done to update them year after year.
[2].........1983-1987 Suzuki LT125 QuadRunner
If you or anyone you rode with in the late 1980s owned one of these............How many times did you have the crankcase apart replacing transmission gears????.....LOL
Both of these machines were among the first ATV models from each manufacturer and could be used an excuse for their problems.........but continuing year after year with the same models and no updates...knowing that the problems are there and just ignoring them are what puts them on my list.
I would have to give the YT125 and YT175 Yamaha 2 stroke three wheelers an honorable mention as well.

Personally, I don't like any of the Polaris quads, so mark me down for those. But if I had to choose a performance machine, I'd have to say the '85-'86 Suzuki LT250R . Those things were ticking time bombs and that trail bike engine had no business being shoe-horned into a quad chassis!!!

I had a '85 Suzi 185. I ran that thing through he!! and back. It never ever gave me a problem. Not once and I rode it for 4 years. What's the matter with the Mojave and Lakota? My lakota has been very dependable as well. I can let it sit for a month, hit the button and it'll start right up. Not to mention it performs very well for what it is, then can slap the racks on and go hunting/fishing/camping/pull trailer/you name it. Not the fastest out there, though.
I guess, I really don't think there is a "bad" atv. They all are a gateway to the sport we love. Something is better than nothing.

Quadsport230 is just ugly and weak and i can't beleive how I actually considered buying one.
Then the 250ex. Not because it is made bad but because there is no purpose to it. It cant hill climb, ride MX, definatley not drag, can't dune, and definately can't hit jumps.
Then a bunch of little quads lke the quadsport 160 and breeze and the old trx125 but they don't really count
