Warrior Problem.
#1
Hello. My dad has a 2001 warrior. He just installed a pro circuit pipe on it and the pro design filter system with a foam filter. My sister had it at dumont all weekend and said it ran fine. But today when we got it back it runs fine if you gradually rev it up but if you let the idle slow down and then press the thumb throttle all the way in it dies and acts like it either gets too much gas and floods or not enough gas. Does anyone know why it would do this? I would appreciate any information. My dad has had a few problems with it and says if it wont run good this coming weekend at dumont he will sell it. Thanks.

Yes we got it re jetted but im not sure what they are. It was done at a local shop. Normally the guy does an excellent job, so i dont think it has to do with jetting. It could though.

Fordhater,
You are most likely running lean. I have a 2002 warrior and just put a supertrapp IDS2 exhust and twin air filterand modified air box lid. Iwent from the original #145 main jet to a #152.5 and 3 turns out on the air/fuel mixture screw. It runs great !! It was a bit rich until I modified the air box lid. I would start with the #152.5 main and 3 turns out on A/F screw and see how she runs.
P.S. I know you hate Fords, but the 5.0s kicked some *** !!

Simple solution. Cover up half your filter and see if it gets better or worse. If that dosent tell enough try it without one for a second (not riding, just revving). This should tell you if your lean or rich.
