Default Raptor carillo rod??

I don't usually get over this way, but I would appreciate some feed back on any one running the carillo rod in their raptor. Has any one had a rod failure with one? Do you think it would handle 70+ hp in a DS? My reason for asking is that I'm considering the SAMCO 733 kit ( inspite of AZsands nuked motor) There is no guarantee from carillo or samco but I want to weigh my options with some real life experiance.
thanks in advance

Default Raptor carillo rod??

I have been using the Carillo rod for awhile now in my Rappy with no problems. I did throw the stocker which was the need for something stronger. Although I have not dyno'd my machine, I would guess I am getting up there near that 70 mark if not past it.

Also, just to give a little insight. Trinity is recommending the Carillo rods on anything more then a very mild build for the Raps, so there is a definite issue with the stocker.

Just a few others I know that are using the Carillo in their Raps:
Velocityraptor
Raptor720
Alljuice
Derbyking
I would think KingRaptor

And I am sure there are atleast 10 more on here alone that are using the Carillo.

Good luck to you.

It looks like PAMI offers Carillo rods for the DS, and a Titanium one also.

Thanks for the link Swyak.

Ward is correct. Anywhere from $200-$250 .

The Ti rods that I have seen go for around $700+
