Well, I installed the B1 pipe, main jet, air filter, and changed the clip position. The hardest part was removing the slide from the throttle cable. Actually, it was more difficult to put the slide back on the cable, because of the spring. I did the carb work first, then tested the results with the stock pipe, which was too rich at full throttle because of the larger main. Then I put on the pipe/silencer, filter, removed the filter lid, turned the screw out 3/4 turn, and WOW!!! What an improvement. Jetting is spot on!

The sound is louder than I expected, it has a deep throaty sound at full throttle, and a tinny pop at idle. Concerning the performance, the Blaster pulls MUCH STRONGER, and Revs much faster and farther than stock. It has a strong hit when it 'gets on the pipe' and literally rips in the turns, making power slides much easier. I was riding with an FMF equipped Blaster, and my bike is DEFINETLY FASTER, and meaner sounding.

So far, the Toomey kit is my only aftermarket add-on. I am totally impressed with the performance upgrade, and I'll keep the rest of the motor stock for awhile. Dollar for dollar, I highly recommend this kit for anyone wanting to upgrade. In fact, IMO, the Blaster gives the best bang for the buck of any quad out there. Next mod,,,,Tires/Wheels. HEY IM GETTING THE VITOS 240 KIT FOR MY 03 BLASTER AND I WAS WONDERING DOES THE 5 HP PISTON STILL WORK WITH THE KIT

 

ya you could probably still get don't know if it would still add 5hp
talk to vito's
remember just the 240 boring adds like 1hp you need to get the whole kit
also check into ct racing they have a new 240kit that is spose to have 41hp trengra racing also sells ct stuff

 

Prolly wouldnt work as well with the 240 kit because of the flow differences.

do u even know what a 240 is it is a new sleeve with a 72mm piston the vitos 240 has a power piston in it



but it sucks i raced one once and beat it by like 10 or bikes in the 300
