Hi,

I'm a fairly new owner of a 2003 Kodiak 450 (first ATV) that I have ~35 miles on in ~10 hours of use. I am very happy with it so far with the limited chance I have had to use it, look forward to a clean plowed driveway this year (Buffalo, NY area), and mostly to 2003 and some real riding (if there is time).

Tonight I was out finishing the plow installation, had run the Kodiak running for about 20 minutes in the yard but mostly idling while I working on it. I ran it the garbage out the driveway a couple of trips, backed it into the garage, put it in park, and the after the park light came on the reverse light started flashing. I waited a few seconds, put it back in reverse then neutral then back down to park. Even as the other lights came on and off the reverse light kept flashing. I looked in then manual but it is fairly weak. The Yamaha web site is much like the manual so was of no help.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Any idea what it means or if it was just a computer sensor glitch that I should ignore?

 

FYI I had a reply on another forum related to this indicating it was not a real problem. Later I found this reference. Info on Flashing Reverse light is about 1/2 page down
