Default Changing Valves, what else do I need to do?

I have to change my valves, what do I need to know, or need to do. The seals are ok, and I'm pretty sure everything else is, too. Someone told me something about lapping the valves? What is this?

What cam are you going to run? you may need to get springs if the cam is big. Are your seals in good shape. If this checks out good get the tool and change them out.

By the way wo did your head work? Did you get a valve job? what valves are you going to ran? and that will give more reson to check valve clearance.

It's all in the works. I plan to run a Hotcams stage II, and I do plan to get high-performance valve springs. I am still in the deciding stage of what to do with my quad. I haven't made up my mind on what to do yet. But after it's finished, wanna race?

Also, what are my Valve options? Besides stock, if I decided to go with bigger valves, is there anything cheaper than the $250 dollar Ferra valves?

If you are going with bigger valves you will have to have the head machined and or the valve seats replaced , the machine shop will lap the valves at that time. Or if they dont you need to find a new machine shop.
