Default Am I to big for a Blaster?

Get a BRAND NEW BLASTER!!! Yammy has 300 bucks off right now through Dec 31. It's the best bang for the buck at 3199.00 less 300.00 plus tax,,,,you're at under 3100.00 otd! I'm 6'0", weigh 185 (probably 200 with gear), and had a 300ex which would hang with the warrior all day long, but I wouldn't trade my blaster for the 300,,,no way!!! This year the Blaster has disk brakes, raptor handlebars, updated styling,,,,all at the same price as last years. Plus, no matter what quad you buy, you're gonna want to modify it sooner or later, and the Blaster responds well to mods. Just my .02, but you can have a new quad, put 400-600 into it, beat all the other (stock) quads you've considered, and still have over 1000.00 less invested. Let us know. Dave

i have a raptor, my brother has a blaster and a warrior, a friend has a 300ex, and another friend has a 400ex. If you do trail riding the blaster would definately not be the best choice. My brother would much rather ride the warrior than the blaster and he is 5'11 145lbs, but we do a lot of trail riding, for wheelies he likes the blaster. if you buy a new blaster for 3100, you will save money in the long run by getting a new 400ex(some are selling for 4600 new)(my brother is buying a 2002 400ex rode only 8 time w/ nerfs and yoshi pipe for 2500), which is much more machine and you would feel a lot more comfortable on. at your age you will be doing much more growing and the blasters supsension will not be sufficient, nor will the power. I'm 135lbs and already wantin more power from my raptor and only had it a lil over a couple months. For you i think the warrior would be more comfortable over the blaster. My brother liked the 300ex over the warrior because it does the same job but it wheelies better. and everyone like the 400ex over the 300ex b/c it does the same but has more power. If you buy a new blaster for 3100, in a year or two when u go to trade it in or sell it you will not get no where near that for it. It is best to get something that you will be able to keep for a long time, i think the 400ex would be best because of its low price now and it is powerful, great for trails, and great for doing wheelies. No one can tell me that they would rather pay 3100 for a new blaster, if they can get a 2002 400ex with nerf bars, front and rear grab bars, and a yoshi pipe for 2500, with only 8 rides on it. There is nothing wrong with getting a used quad as long as you look over it thoroughly and make sure everything is in good condition. with all the new competition of the sport quads the 400ex's are selling for very low prices. You may not be able to find a deal like the one i just stated, but im sure you could find one that would be in your price range and in good condition, many people have them.

In summary, get it if you want but if you get into the sport youll wish you had bought more and will end up selling the blaster at a loss to get a better bike. Ask anyone in here with a blaster if they plan on keeping it forever and never upgrading. Most will say theyd sell their left ******** for a good banshee.

I value my left one. No way would give mine up for a banshee. I would learn how to be slower and have more fun with my left one doing something else.

Chet No given it up DE Racer

At your size,,,I would surely look at the 400 class.

The Honda 400ex is a great buy, and a great (reliable) quad. (Look for a good used one $2500-3500)

The blaster is just too small for you,,,good luck (I should say that the 400ex would be a better fit)
