Letter from Yamaha about my tranny.
I hate reading stories like these.
I was a service writer in a Chrysler dealership in 1990. They way Chrysler Factory Representatives (or Norepresentaion) dealt with and handled disatisfied customers who bought their junk will keep me from ever owning a Chrysler product, ever.
I went from there to a Honda (automobile) dealer and Honda's (again, automobile) concept was to do what ever it took to satisfy their customers. It didn't take long to see why Honda sold so many cars.
It does sound like Yamaha needs to step up to the pump and take care of their customers the way you have taken care of them.
Hope it all works out in the end.

Boycott the next new quad from yammy.
Everyone send a letter to yamaha and dirtwheels about 01 tranny's.
Have a big picket party in front of a dealership who won't help.
More people who know the more it will help.
I just want Yamaha to fix the tranny thats it.

This is an email I recieved from the CPSC today. I asked how many reports there were about 2001 Raptor transmission failures.
