Default Maybe honda is the better choice?

well i dunno but ive been saving my money and i am planning on buying a new raptor. The quad is now pretty much perfected and there really isnt a doubt in my mind that its a good product. But i dont understand, it seems like yamaha just puts effort into making a good design but never puts thought into how compatible all the parts are when all together. It seemes like YAMAHA makes us the guinea pigs instead of testing their stuff themselves. and then they never take responsibility for their flaws. Does honda do this too? I understand they dont have a new high cc sport quad yet but so far their stuff seems to be done right...THE FIRST TIME. Just my opinion thanks

Yeah but honda isint perfect either, my friends 400ex constantly breaks and strips bolts all over the engine because they use such small weak bolts. Not uncommon for us to strip a bolt at 6 ft lbs on his valve cover.

really it sucks in the woods. Thats where i got the impression that is shines. ITs definately not an mxer. Duner yeah, but i though the narrow stance and nimble handling made it a good woods rider. What complaints do u have. I have also heard that the z400 had weak motor mounts. Whats with that?

i totally disagree.... i ride mainly trails and do some jumping and the raptor is great for the riding i do in my opinion. it has tons of torque which i really love. i ride and go through the same stuff as all the 4x4's go through and i have only been stuck once, the 4x4 got stuck also, but it was easier for my to get mine out. my 03 LE raptor is completely stock except for full skids and shock covers, and i have had absolutely no problems out of it in the past 3 months or so that i have had it, hope it continues. I am very glad i chose the raptor over any other quad available( i was choosing b/t the LE raptor and the TLD predator). my brother has a warrior and has rode my quad and he will be getting one next.

1500 less than a raptor??- the dealer i bought my 03 LE raptor from for 5999 OTD, is now selling the regular raptor for 5499, haven't seen a z for 3999. from the research i have done a new 03 raptor can be found for the same price, or less in a few places, than a Z400's msrp.

first of all ...my quad cost 5400 otd.and second of all..maybe the raptor has more tourqe than the z but it is also 260 cc more than the 400.the ltz will out handle the raptor all day..trust me i had both...unless the raptor has 2+2 a- arms and maybe a 2+2 axle($1000)so to make it better handling than the ltz you need $1000..isnt that how much the raptor cost more than the ltz...now your up to $2000 by the time you bring it home and put wider a-arms and axle...if you dont put wider a-arms on an axle ..you would get smoked in the woods..and on the track to...but what everyone is forgetting is this is your money buy what ever you want..
