Default Sand tires what would be a good choice

I am confused as to why everyone does not like the Geckos. I have them on my Raptor and I really think they work pretty well. Am I missing something? I run about 2.5 pounds in them and they seem to hook up pretty well. I can't seem to keep the front end on the ground now. If I had a tire that hooked up better I would have to sit in front of the handlebars. Please enlighten me.

The big quads I've seen with Geckos & Roosters simply overpowered the tires, I drag raced a DS with them & in 100 yards he was in 5th gear on the rev limiter while I was in the meat of the power band in 3rd gear.
I beat him by 3 full lengths or more, the next race he had Extreme haulers & we were dead even.
