Ok bubba, lets see here, I'm talking about HOTROD. One, olds doesn't exist anymore. So for hotrod I'm talking about older. 60's through 70's. And I say again they are not the same. Yes in the 90's and 00's their the same damn car. But not that longgggggggggg ago in the muscle car era. geez.

DemonDS.....check your facts before posting your opinions!. The HO Cummins is available w/ the 48RE tranny. You can have you 5 ft. lbs. of torque. I'll take it in an inline 6, over a V-8, thank you very much.

Matt - My girlfriend owns and drives a Toyota..
My experience with Toyota, Lets see there was $1,200 for the Head gasket $850 for the clutch in the 6 months since we have been dating.
Yes it has 140,000 miles on it ,
But it also will not pull it's way out of a wet paper bag.
I can tell you have never tried to maintain 70-75 MPH up hill on the interstate with your Toyota.
Let alone have something in the box that weights more then 20 pounds.
I recently had the privledge of trying to drive across the country in a 97' Toyota V-6 towing 2 Raptors on a snowmobile trailer.
(down to second gear in some of the mountain's Montana.) Thank god there was no headwind.

HAHA! I've noticed Toyotas to be pretty gutless too! If they wouldnt use freakin car engines that pump out no torque they might do better! Trucks need torque. If you notice the Toyota V6 3.3 puts out as much HP as the Chevy 4.3 but can't pull anything worth a damn cause it puts out like a quarter the torque. The 4.3 liter is filled with gobs of torque (for a V6) I'm very happy with it, awesome engine!

Hey I will admit when I am wrong, I am above that. Your right they are now showing it with the automatic. I was basing my info off of the comparo guide I got from Ford during our 6.0 Training. I will NEVER down the Cummins for being a fantastic motor because it is. The only thing I dont like is the fact that the HO is not legal in all states. The 6.0 is. I am not a tree hugger but I fully supoort any company that puts forth effort to help improve the enviroment. Ford has taken many great leaps in that direction. My other big complaint is the amount of noise the Cummins puts out but then it's a deisel and is expected, but now it is not necessary to put up with and still have power.
