I like mine...It droped the rear about 3 inches lower... As far as performance I cant say for sure if it helped or not because I also upgraded the fronts at the same time. I can say the complete change (+2/+1 A-arms, Front Elka's, and rear conversion) was like buying a new quad.

Just sent mine to The Quad Shop for a rebuild last Tuesday. Ordered the front Triple Rates and covers from them too! Marty and Jeff are great to deal with and they know Elka (great prices too)!

I put Elka triple rates SSD's on the front and sent my rear shock to the Quad Shop and got everything back right before Christmas. Like bpotter said it dropped the seat height down a good three inches and the seat is now lower than my friends 400EX. The bike doesn't do anything weird anymore, isn't tippy in the corners and the front end stays planted during hard excelleration. A big plus is that the bike slides the rear end around the way a quad should. I wouldn't say that the handing is as good as my '86 250r, but it is on par or better than a 400EX or a Z400. If you spend any money on a Raptor the first thing you should buy is a good set of zero pre-load shocks, a wider rear axle and a good set of tires, budget allowing.
