heard something before that someone said that a 490 is basically the same size as the blaster 200. if so does anyone know if it would mount into a blaster frame. thinking about putting in one after i buy my raptor. probably need a +2 ft swingarm. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. also i heard that you can't tell the difference between the two by just site. but that don't sound right.

a 490 blaster would be fast you would have to do some major bracing tho to keep it together
a yz250 engine might be a little more practical jmo lata

It was probably me that you heard say that. It is the same basic size on the bottom end. blasterryder is right on the bracing thing. The 490 will tear the frame up.

I have had friends that own blasters walk into my shop and see the 490 sitting on the workbench. I tell them it is a blaster engine and they can't tell the difference until you sit them next to each other and see how huge the cylinder really is on the 490.
