Default quadzilla motor in Z400 frame.

Has anyone else thought of doing this? We are aware of the power of the lt500 and the good geometry of the LTZ400 frame. Maybe even the lt250r motor in the ltz frame.

i've been thinking about this since the LTZ came out, but still I haven't seen anyone try it.

i think a nicely tuned (cured) LT500R motor in a slightly fixed-up LTZ400 frame would be such a good machine for the dollar invested... i can't even begin to tell you how great it would be. screaming 60hp with tons of bottom end plus a modern chassis with some aftermarket tweaks... jeeze.

someone go out and do this, NOW. you WILL be pleased.

Maybe another good setup would be the Tecate 4 motor in the KFX400 frame. I have heard the Tecate 4 motor really screams.

Come on, nobody else has an opinion on this? Why not? Surely the hard core 2 strokers are a little intrigued by this combo.

I got a spare z400 frame sitting on the side of the house...... I have been thinking seriously about taking the kfz700 engine and stuffing it into the z400 frame. I already know it will not fit, but it's close. I will have to have the frame modified. But nevertheless, that to me be a worthwhile project, something to compete with the raptors on.....

Well, I don't know enough about the Z to make a reasonable comment...
How light is the thing? If you would have a completed machine weighing in at around the 280#.... I could see that being pretty wicked.

Same as the 250/500 swap.

I also have a spare frame ltz400 I have been working on putting my ex500 ninja motor on it. Getting the alighment of chain using the ltz motor mounts with brakets I made is being a pain in butt. But clearance is perfict in frame dunno about the plastic. I haven't got that far.. but I got two complete ex500 ninja bikes with no titles. So what better to do with them other then man a mans toy to tare some ground up
