Yamoto 150cc Review

If you can use a clutch I would suggest the 200. It has higher performance than the 150 but isnt fully automatic like the 150. Both of these are midsized quads so you might be a little more cramped on the 150 too.

Hello
Yes great review, but we have not had that great of luck with our 150. I have a seven year old son that has also broke the rear axle(just outside the drive sprocket-- end of the splines). I do not have a parts source so I had to have it welded. Now just last Friday he broke the output shaft in the tranny, again right beside the splines. Does anyone have a number of a parts warehouse, I have emailed 4 web sites that sell Yamoto and other off brands but the only response I get back is the price of a new quad. (one of the sites is a regular on this forum) I live in the Kansas Cuiy area and realize that I will have to have parts shipped in not having a dealer within, say 500 miles.
thanx for the help Alan

Welcome to the forum hahaw, there were definitely a few here who broke their Yamotos. Have you tried RacewayAtv? Im not sure if they still carry Yamoto but may still sell parts.

Man, Now this is a review of a product if I ever saw one! Anyway, I just bought a 125cc jetmoto and was wondering if this is the same style of quad your talking about? I bought it from Racewayatv.com and waiting for it to arrive along with a 90cc Kazuma quad from the same place. I bought these for my ten and six year old and can't wait to see how they hold up. I have a new posting too and will update as I get new information on both of these quads and I hope to do as good of a job as you did but I doubt it!

This is the first thread I posted in here at the connection. Lots of info on '04 Yamoto's. When is it supposed to arrive socaltoyman? And where will you be riding it? I just got 2 150's for a friend of mine and they look as good as the 200, im guessing the 125's are just as nice.

For parts, try Rick Mazur... he has an eBay store, Mazur's ATV sales. His e-mail is as follows:
"Richard Mazur" rictammazur@msn.com
He can also sell a reverse kit for the 2004 models, and it replaces the sprocket shaft... for about $200 you can get what you need AND add a reverse!!!
Hope this helps,

Hi All
I have a problem with my kid's yamoto 150. It was bought in Dec' 04. It will accelorate to about half way, and then die, it won't shut down completly but almost. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
My other son has one also, and he his chain is broken. If anyone has any technical info on the chain this would also be welcome.
One last thing as I live in Ireland, if parts are required does anyone know of a supplier that ships to Ireland?

That makes two of us cause this is the first time for me too. I plan on getting the quads late this week or early next week I ordered them on the 11th of March so they say allow 7-10 buisiness days for delivery. I will be taking them out initially out in Rosamond there's a lot of open riding where the kids can just get used to the quads and then we'll be taking them out to Cal City for overnights. Where do you ride?
