I had the same problem with my '04. It was the stator. Had to replace it.

This is the first thread I posted in here at the connection. Lots of info on '04 Yamoto's. When is it supposed to arrive socaltoyman? And where will you be riding it? I just got 2 150's for a friend of mine and they look as good as the 200, im guessing the 125's are just as nice.Text

That makes two of us cause this is the first time for me too. I plan on getting the quads late this week or early next week I ordered them on the 11th of March so they say allow 7-10 buisiness days for delivery. I will be taking them out initially out in Rosamond there's a lot of open riding where the kids can just get used to the quads and then we'll be taking them out to Cal City for overnights. Where do you ride?

Thanks Mywifesquad, I will try cleaning the carb, and replacing the original spark plug.

Are you still around?
We are about to buy a Yamoto 150 - our 1st ATV - just to scooter around and for our 11 year old son to ride around. Still a good idea?

Still here after all these months! I have had only GOOD luck with my Yamoto... I would recommend that you read the thread here regarding modifications, specifically the air cleaner and the bolt replacements. Some have had a few other problems, but overall I think the Yamoto is a good buy for a beginner that is not going to totally thrash the machine. My son and I love ours!

Good luck,

Welcome to the forum Quilter, I still have mine and its taken quite a beating lately. The engine is fairly bullet proof and other than the suspension being bad, im sure it will take a beating for quite a while. I notice the new Yamotos have different suspension than my '04. I hope its softer than the early models. Can you sit on one before buying it?

10-40 Valvoline Synthetic works in my Yamoto and Jetmoto 150's. It holds about 28 ozs from waht I remember.

Hey DirtForAShirt, Your review of the Yomoto is awesome, thanks for all the information, its been really useful. I have just purchased, (not delivered yet) 2 x 200cc Yomoto ATVs and 1x 110cc Yomoto ATV. Your advice is priceless. I was starting to think that these bikes would be breaking every time we took them out, but this site has given me hope that they may just be OK. I am looking forward to a lot of fun from these bikes and hope that I have not purchased one of the lemons I have read about here and on other sites.
I am in Western Australia and my 3 bikes (1 for me, 1 for hubby and 1 for 9 year old son) are coming from Queensland so I have no dealer back up. My hubby is quite mechanical with some things and not with others so I am crossing my fingers a bit.
Will post another blurb when we have put them together and had a ride.

Hey yes yomoto still does exist. you can go to their website www.yomoto.com or try the race shop everyone talks about if you are in america. Many raptor and yamaha parts are interchangeable according to this site so that is another option.
