Hey post the link and picture of this $1500 yamaha 400 4x4 with new winch and blade I'm curious to see what you can get down there in a 4x4 for 1500 bucks!.

This economy will clean out all the fly by night guys for sure.

Local Chinese ATV place by me seems to stay a float and are still moving inventory. They however have an actually shop with techs and service all makes of quads. They also do warranty work for the big box stores like Walmart etc. that sell this stuff.
Given you show only one chinese ride in your stable and it is Jetmoto, you are fortunate to not suffer what the run of the mill chinese quad owner deals with. Jetmoto is in the top tier as far as providing support to it's owners. They did move to a smaller location but knowing most of the characters there, they are a very resourceful bunch and always find creative revenue streams to hang in there. Plus the same cast of characters have been there for years and that has to say alot about the organization.

The majority of these things are basically powered up toys, probably 80% are 90cc or under. After the kid rides it for a season, outgrows it, and quits running, it finds a resting space gathering dust in the corner of the garage until it gets hauled off to the dump.

Sure, parts keep flowing to keep some of these going but it is not the same need as the bigger machines we are talking about.

Acutally I have 2 quads the 110cc and I also have 50cc Baja motorbike. Had a 90cc quad but we sold it last winter.

So far I haven't had to buy anything for the Jet in 2 years that the kids didn't break off!!. But I will be doing some maintance work here soon and will post a review of things I had to fix. I've had to fool around with the 110cc quad a lot though.

Yes the bigger machines maybe more difficult (can't go up the road to yamaha unless its a Jianshe) but they can be found. With forms like this and everyone helping everyone things will stay running I would think. For the average person who say doesn't have the time it will be frusterating I agree.

Good point about those smaller bottom of the barrel "cheap" throw away chinese atv's people bought online. What is going to happen to all those?? Ship them back to china to be melted down and turned into something else??

Its a local father-son place.....and they dont list inventory on the internet. Its a modest building, a shack by alot of dealers standards, but they charge very reasonable rates and do damn good work. Their hourly rate is $30 per hour.....they do all my work. They have been in business since the 70s (that father, not the son hes only in his late 20). They also charge in 15 min blocks....so they charge $7.50 in most cases to change oil on a motorcycle - which is handy cause I have 8. They buy bulk oil and stock tons of parts/filters in addition to having a huge building full of older stuff for salvage reasons. Markup on parts is so reasonable that MOST of the time I cant even order the part myself off the internet any cheaper.....and Ive even had them take parts off their own bikes to get mine running so I could ride (the father has a Ural....just like mine so its been molested to get mine running several times). They keep busy year around. They love old bikes as do I.....they are just great all around folks.

He young guy works from 6am to 6pm some days.....Ive asked him several times how he does it......his reply "I just love bikes".

.....no doubt he will get burnt out at some point....but for now Im damn glad to know him. Who else do you get to rebuild the carbs on your 1975 CB400F at last minute before leaving town for a ride.....hell none of the shops around here besides them would even LOOK at a bike that old.

Yes, I was saying I could get $1500-$2K for it around here if I had to. I may of paid $2500 for it but they sell anywhere you look throughout the internet for $4k+ shipping. I just sold a 2000 Yamaha Warrior beat to hell for $1700.

Here is a new update from Ebay. Kind of funny how the day I make an ebay claim I get an instant response from sevenlotusic(Tank-Sports). Normally it would take 5+ days to get an email response back and I cannot even call them to make any voice contact.. The response from them annoys me even more. This guy is a compulsive liar

Your message to the seller:
"Every blinker lense assembly you sent me to repair the defective ones I have already is broken. Would you like me to send you pictures of all 8 of them now??? Maybe your "water damaged box" did some damage to my "new lense assemblies." I'm really sick of the excuses. I do not want a cylinder head that has been sitting in a water damaged box either as it probably is starting to corode the bare metal. This atv is completely defective we are not just talking about lenses anymore. The rear differential oil seal blew out of it and you failed to send me those parts also. The engine has a chunk of metal taken out of it and along with all the other cosmetic issues that came along with it. Leaking lenses, broken switches ect.... I want my money back so come pick up your defective atv. I tried to call Tank-Sports today again and your numbers do not even go to a voicemail anymore. I've contacted California Motor Vehicle Investigation Department and they will be investigating your busines"

Dec 16, 2009 at 2:37 PMThe seller has responded to your case with other solution.Seller's message:
"Hi Mark, Remember how the package came back and we had to resend? The package was reboxed because of water damage. The repackage did not put the cylinder in as we forgot. We will be sending it out, today. As for the turn signal lights, they were taken off of our only showroom sample to fulfill the urgency of your order. there are more turn signal lights on the way in a container, but however we imagined it would please you to know that we took them off of our showroom unit to get yours up and running. I inspected the lights before they were wrapped in plastic and they were in decent conditions, no broken tabs. In regards to us sending you defective parts, the parts that was sent to you, are not defective. I assume you are talking about the lenses still? Sorry we have to stick with what the auction states. Defective parts coverage only. If you can let me know what you need when you can. "

Sounds like a classic case of someone who bought a container load of ATV's to sell, with no parts support and they just take parts off of ATV's in inventory.

Ok do they actually have your clutch out of the quad? If so can you or someone go and get the pieces to find a replacement or at least take pictures of it??

Have you explored other companies like say V bike [ Welcome to VBike.us ] Or HENSIM USA or others that sold these 400 quads with the Jianshe/Yamaha engine? I think even Jetmoto sold this style of quad at one time.
