2007 Eton Yukon 150 Starting Issue
#1
I recently bought a 2007 eton yukon cxl 150 for my daughter. It will start fine when hooked up to a charger. I assumed the battery was dead. After an overnight charge, the battery is holding. When I put the battery back in, and turned the key on, the neutral light came on as I expected. When I hit the starter button I see a spark at the positive terminal of the battery, then i loose all power. If I turn the key off and let it sit for a minute or so, the power will come back when I turn the key back on. But, I get the same thing.
Second question. When I do crank it with the charger, It idles great. But, it pops in the mid range, then levels back out at higher RPM's. Any ideas?
Thanks

Jaster94 is spot on. You have a bad connection right where you was that spark. That bad connection gets blown open by the massive starter current - making a spark.

You were both dead on. I cleaned the battery terminals and the cables. It started right up. Thanks for the help. I also cleaned the carb up and it is purring like a kitten. Thanks for the help everyone.
