Be sure to tell them you have fitted a new carb, this may not be the problem, but will need to be set to suit your bike, so fitting it may have introduced another "fault".

Default Tao Tao 250 Engine Problem

Sorry it's been so long, but the 250 finally made its way up to the dealer in Dallas who told us that they had to rebuild the carb, put in a new plug and replace the CDI. When we reminded them it was a brand new carb, and plug, and CDI, they said it was bad gas that made the new carb and plug not work. The gas was fresh, but what can you do. After some discussion, they said it was just the wrong CDI, but could not find the "old" one to show us. I cant call anyone there names because it is now running, but not sure what the did. Again thanks for the help.

What did they charge you for replacing everything you did already? Just curious.

Have you done a compression or leak down test? Any chance the exhaust is plugged?? Mouse nest, water, etc.
