Just answered a similar post:-
I can only supply generic solutions, there should be two thin wires to solenoid relay, and two thick ones. One thin comes from the start button, the other from either pos or neg on battery, but can be wired through other things too, as can the wire from the start button. The pos wire goes from battery, through a fuse then ignition switch, then it may go to a brake light switch before going to either solenoid relay or start button. Neg side may be direct to either start button or relay, or again, it could go to a brake light switch first. Some use a neutral light switch instead of brake switch, bigger bikes often use both, and add complex diode and relay systems as well. To be sure it isn't the solenoid relay, disconnect the thin wires and put a 12v incandescent test light across these wires that come from the loom to it. Switch on, brake on, in neutral, press start button, if lamp lights brightly, faulty solenoid relay. If it doesn't, check which wire is dead.
