Hi. I was gifted this 2005 yamoto. 200cc.
My friend bought it new in 2005, ran a tank of gas through it and parked it under a tarp. He lost interest. I guess it wasnt for him...or he scared himself enough to quit.
The clutch had to be unstuck, carb cleaned, cables unseized. Bike is running like a brand new old one.
My problem now is coolant in the oil. I drained the oil and put fresh in. Ran for 5 min max. Drained milky oil again.
My question is where to start? Head? Water pump? Anyone have advice or experience bringing the liquid cooled dead back?
I'm pretty sure it's the cg200 motor?
Thanks
Water pumps should have a drain hole so if the gland starts leaking, water can run out of the engine instead of into the crankcase. I can't guarantee this as I don't know the Yamoto. So it looks like a head gasket, or water jacket gone porous due to corrosion or frost damage. I would want to be absolutely certain it isn't just condensation that has emulsified with the new oil, before taking an engine to pieces though. Possibly one of those "we test your engine oil " companies could check for anti-freeze in an oil sample.
If there was water in the crankcase it may take numerous drain and fills to flush the water from the crankcase. Watch closely the coolant level and see if it is going down. If not, it just might take a number of oil changes to get the water out. If the coolant level keeps dropping then you have an internal leak.
I took the water pump apart as much as I could without taking the side cover off. and there was water behind the seals. I'm going with that being the problem. Just ordered new pump and seals from China. Hopefully it's the right one. $25 gamble. Finding proper parts for this thing is a nightmare.
