trailboss problems

Default trailboss problems

Hi all,well I have a 92 trail boss 250 that i'm having problems with.I tore the motor down(low compression)the crank seals and bearings were shot.anyway i replaced those new piston ,fresh bore and put back together it started right up but revved real high and shut off now it wont start back up.any ideas are greatly appreciated.thanks

SOUNDS LIKE EITHER THE THROTTLE IS HUNG OR IT'S SUCKING AIR SOMEWHERE

It mabe the oil injector cable is stuck or hung up.

I took the oil injector out and put the block off kit on it.

Is the slide in the carb all the way down? If not then I would assume you have an air leak, Did you replace the crankcase gasket when you did the crank seals? Are the crank seals on correctly and did you instal the spring the holds the seal tight to the crank? There a number of possibilities. Why did you have to bore it? Just to do it or because it blew up? Hope you get it figured out, Brian

yeah new gasket and the seals are on right.Could I have blown a base gasket?oh and had it bored while i had it down.The base gasket was the only gasket I didn't get from the dealer.

It is a new base gasket tho right? Try doing a leak down test if you can. I believe you can find it in a search on what to do. Brian
