the belt has ribs on both sides-- it will dissipate heat quicker and be less likely to "shred" if the belt is yanked around suddently (shock force). The ribs allow more flexibility.

I put a goodyear belt on and swear I feel the difference....... I know some will think I'm crazy. Got it at Dennis Kirk. It was cheaper than the Polaris belt from the dealer too.....

i replaced my 02 500 belt w/ a 700 belt just for the top cogs to help keep the belt cooler.

the belt has another layer of Kevlar weeve in it, along with the top ribs to assist in cooling. a Dayco HP belt is also a good choice. I put a 700 belt on my 500H.O. and i can blip the tires off the ground just a tad now (warn 2.0 winch, bumpers, racks)

Do you have any mods on your 500HO? cuz I don't think I will ever be able to get my front tires off the ground.

you have a fairly longer quad than me, which would make a difference on leverage and if it can get the tires off the ground. the only things ive done is put a Champion plug in thats 1 level hotter, Dynojet jet kit, and a K&N filter

Thanks for the info. I forgot that my wheel base was longer.
