I am having trouble finding a carb for a 97 sprt 500 are there ant after market carbs or what other models will work please help

 

what mm? just get a mikuni, go to a dealer they can get it, dennis kirk do you really need a new one prob just rebuild it too.

I think it is 36mm I took it to the shop and they put some parts in it but they said it was pitted to bad and I need a new one so was wondering if I might find one less expencive then original or maybe a good used one....... thanks

 

try ebay, and dennis kirk should be a little cheaper then the dealer. also try a search on mikuni carbs, probaly will come up with some places and prices.

a replacement of the same carb might be best, mikuni is the best carb, that is a roundslide i think, i dont know if a flatside is better for the machine or not.

whats wrong with the mikuni brand why do you want to change?

 

Well its not the mikuni carb its the model # thats got me puzzled the 3130665 polaris part # is now replaced with the 3130754 part # so im not sure what the mikuni model # is for that carb but im still searching thanks
