Default Buying a Polaris Service Manual...

Greetings Gang,
Been a long, long time since I've been onboard here. Not sure if any of the regulars from back when are still here but I figured I'd throw out a quick question.

Still have my '04.5 500 HO and it's been awesome since day one. I have my buddy's '08 500 x2 Sportsman in my possesion. He hasn't had it serviced yet since new. It's way overdue. I've got to change out a CV boot on it and I'm sure it's due for valve lash check, oil, etc.

Looking for a source for a Factory Service Manual, in hard copy, book form, not a digital. I'm sure Polaris can get me one but thought I'd check for any other options here on the site or ???

Thanks!

If you need one right away the dealer is probally your best bet. I bought one last year for the Trail Boss, it also had a cd included. The only other option is E-bay to my knowledge to find a FSM. Most offer Clymer manuals, but have seen factory manuals in the past in book form. You might also try the classifieds on this site.

Does anyone know if there is an ummm.... even cheaper downloadable version out there? Like REAL cheap.

I downloaded the factory manual for my Bandit 1250(all 900 pages of it from somewhere for a CHEAP cost, but I can't remember the site.

I just downloaded a couple manuals from www.tradebit.com for pretty damn cheap. You search for it, pay via paypal and then it opens in a pdf. Then you have to save it to your pc. Was under $5 buxs.

I just bought one for my 04 700 off of eBay. Hard copy delivered for $39. I prefer hardcopy that way I can take it anywhere I want to just read it whenever. I would have pd more because I feel these are extremely valuable. I have one for my 01 500 and it has saved me alot of money.
