I have an 02 KVF650 and was interested in the black springs. I wanted to know if I had to replace the spring only or the helixes and weights as well. Joel

 

just the spring on the driven clutch. Enjoy your new ride. Oh yeah, spend money on real tires. The stockers are terrible.

 

i talked to mike penland today and he has the tools to pull your clutch off the easy way. he was awesum to talk to. and was really helpful.

It seems that , unlike most racers, Mike Penland is VERY accessible. I haven't chatted with him, but plan to!
Check "nyroc's knowledge base" he has instructuions on how to make the $5 special tool to change the driven spring/adjust belt deflection, etc.

 

I've got a black spring new in package. If anyone wants it I'd take $25 shipped.

I went there 3 weeks ago, for the first time, and it was everything I thought it could be and more!! Spent 2 and half days there. We had a blast!

Late night rides on the dunes kicked a$$. The last night we were out til almost 2am. Made it tough to get up the next morn and drive home.

I'll let you know when we go again, maybe we can hook up.

 

i'm leaving this tuesday as soon as my kids are on the bus. i'll be there till i run out of money or get hurt. usually one or the other occurs in about 4 days! we had 34 people on a night ride in a single line! it was too bitch!
