I'm looking to purchase my first Arctic Cat ATV - A local dealer has the following new machines - 2005 500 LE list for $6,540 and a 2006 650 H1 list for $6,813. The 650 H1 does not come with a winch, so that would be an add on. First, are these good prices? I really like the 2005 500 LE both I not sure what I giving up if I spent the extra for the 650 H1. I look to use one to carry tools around the yard and some basic trail riding. Would like alittle feedback.. Thanks

 

For that price difference get the H1, no contest. The H1 is a low end grunt monster. Six months from now you may look back and wish you spent the extra few hundred bucks for the added power, it will cost far more than 300 to trade it in. You should be able to talk you dealer into a winch for about a hundred bucks, if not, you could always pick up a winch off ebay. Several topics around here have been started by people that buy a cheap winch and have no problems.
