Default Clutch ?
How does the clutch on my '01 500 manual work?
Is it centrifigul?
Also when I'm riding is it better to keep the rpm's high or low to avoid slipping the clutch?
How dependable are the clutchs? My ATV has 1100 miles of mostly farm use.

Engage and disengage.
I guess so, sounds about right.
You answered your own question - unless you want it to slip
