Default A/C TRV 400....

Hello, My buddy send me to the A/C dealer today to check out a TRV 2-up 400. The dealer told me all the Quads he has there are 2008 models.
My question is simple......I looked in all my Magazines and can't find any listed for 2008 in the 400 range........
Do they make a 2008 TRV 400 Auto??

Thanks.......And any info to tell him on them would be great..

I also see the TRV 400 is air-cooled and the TRV 500 is Liquid cooled .......Is that correct for the year 2006-2008?..Thanks again............Caper..............

No. They dropped the 400 for 2008. The 500 is the base TRV now. Yes, the 500 is liquid cooled. If he really wants a 400, tell him to look around. Heres a 2006 I found at my local dealer in Virginia, USA. They have a 2007 as well.

So they are around.

Well sorry to tell you they just bought a brand new 2008 Arctic Cat TRV 400 Auto 4X4 with locking front Diff.
I did all kinds of checking and could not find a TRV 400 listed for 2008.But the dealer got 10 in at special pricing and they are out there ,at least here in Canada,....Just though I would let you know!!!..Thanks
I really didn't get much info or replies back on this model.......I guess it not that popular on here.

I like the Quad ..Came with Alum. Alloy rims and Goodyear Radial tires.....
The dealer has 7 P.S.I in them right now...But it calls for 5 P.S.I
I think he may be just seating the bead on the rims from the factory ....
I was hoping to get more replies and info for them ...But the deal is done now ...
I keep you posted on any trouble and/or Questions he may have ,,,.....Caper.......

The 08 catalog does not show a 400 two up. The one that the Canada is speeking of is most likely an 07 and dealer is leting him think it is a 08. Either way change your mind and go with the 500 at least or 650. I get fed up with people who buy a 400 and think this is all they want and need. Then when it will not preform the way they though end up spending more money than if they had bought the larger bike in the first place. These chat groups have a great deal to do with how to get they under sized bike to preform like they want. Buy one size bigger and have the power of the smaller bike. Go over to the arcticchat group and see what I'm talking about.

The two of them KNOW what they want.........They drove my Sp 450 and that is way more power then they need!!!...........How can you sit there and type it will not perform the way they want it too!!.........They are both near 55 years old and power don't really mean anything to them ...Gas in the tank will mean alot more to them!!!...........And no it's not a left-over 2007....They got insurance and plates put on it and it is a 2008!!!.............
Other dealers are listing them also on the ATV Trader.com as 2008.........I thought the same thing!!!..(only list 500 TRV for 2008).......They will be more than happy with this Quad.....He was going to buy a 250cc just for himself!!!...............Caper...................

You may find that the best handling will come with the front tires around 7 or 8lbs and the rear around 5lbs.
Also with the front springs on the softest setting and the rear on the second softest or middle setting....
Do a search for "how to make the AC handle better" and you will see why. Too long to post here...

I think the vin number is on the right rear of the frame. What is the vin number of the bike. That will give the year

milehioutlaw both you and caperinmuskoka are right about the year model of the 400 TRV , it's actually a 2007/2008 year model ; built in 2007 and released as the 2008 model !

I bought my 06' AC 400 Auto Feb. 7th 2006 , just 2 weeks later my Dealer had the 2007 models on the show room floor and i don't think Arctic Cat will drop their biggest seller ; back when i bought my 400 my Dealer told me her sales on the 400 Auto's was like 10 to 1 compared to the 500 , 650 H1 and the 650 V Twin and that it was the same after the 700 EFI came out .

And this included the 400 TRV vs the 500 TRV , the numbers don't lie and i'm not knocking the 500's ; after all both are powered by Suzuki so my feeling is that the 400's will still used for many years to come !.....
