Default TRV Afraid of Werewolves

I have been diagnosing my '04 500 TRV as to why it won't start sometimes. I have determined that it starts and runs great in the morning and during the day. It's in the evening after having used it during the daytime that it won't run, usually after starting it. It'll start fine, but a few seconds later it will start chuggin' then pop a couple of times as I throttle it to get it going again, then it stalls. Once it has stalled, it will not start until the next morning.

The battery is fine and I've cleaned the carb.

SO WHAT'S WITH THIS......?

Any advice is appreciated.

Check the choke for proper voltage and operation, check both tank and carb vent tubes and make sure they aren't kinked/blocked.

HeftyLefty,

Now that you mention it, I did replace the electronic choke last year as a result of the same problem which has, by the way, been going on for two years now. I have not checked the voltage but will. The bent or kinked hoses should be an easy diag.

I also have had to replace the brakelight switch three times and the most recent is'nt working. But now I've noticed that the brake light comes on as soon as I turn the ignition key on. Now I know I have a short somewhere. Trying to locate that can be something else. I'm also wondering now if the short may have lead to other problems such as the one I posted.

Oh Well,

Thanks
