I agree with Knows about the Yamahas
Also the Kawasakis. My friend had a 250 (not a Tecate) It had good power but was bad ugly.
Hey Knows. Was there a difference between the 110 and 125 bottom ends? I never had much experience with the 125s but I could not kill a 110 with a shotgun.

were the YT's the trimotos? those were total crap and they had a big@ss thumb throttle. they were turds. if someone would have told me back then that i would wind up owning 2 yamahas and actually liking them (yamaha) in the future i would not have believed them.
as far as kawasaki is concerned, agreed until the mid 80's. their stuff got better then. but to me the tecate with the radiator in the middle and the light off to the side looked kinda stupid, but i loved the later years of the tecate; that thing would scream.
as i remember it, i was young, but seemed like honda had a weird direction for awhile with their atcs; 125m, 200, 200e, 200m, 200x..etc. how many 200's did they need?? and i didnt really see the need for a 125m and a 110.

Madwolverine,
Yes. The 110 and 125 engines look alike, but share few parts. All of the gears are different along with the cases, cylinder, and head.
twenty,
You are right about those goofy throttles on the Yamaha....LOL
I had forgotten those weird throttles until you just mentioned them. I was lucky and never owned one, but my neighbor growing up did and swore by it......despite the fact that it was at the dealership more half the time. I think he went through 3 rebuilds one summer...LOL
Speaking of the oldies, do you guys remember the old Kaws that had the trailing arm front suspension?? Boy, what a joke! I know that the overall wheelbase changes with fork travel movement on any trike, but that thing may very well vary by 5" depending on the weight of the rider. This trike even had a manual clutch and a locking rear end unlike today's quads, but like a riding lawn mower!!
Even funnier is the fact that they made a Police version of this thing.
I think after reminencing about this thing, i will give it an honorable mention on my list of well......call it what you like
