The Z is a great machine, you will do well.
Nerfs and tether are the first things needed.
Everyone wants a fast machine, and usually get the motor done and find out that they go a lil faster, but still wonder where the speed is.
I recommend suspention changes so that you can handle going fast.I hear the Axels break, thus a RPM or LSR axel is in order. Then maybe a set of wider a-arms,and of course a set of well working shocks. I do recommend PEP or Custom Axis. They are the best.
Now comes the motor work (if nessesary) Everyone yaps about Yoshi and trinity, but TC racing is the original Z builder!www.tcracingengines.com Everyone wants a loud pipe, he can take care of all that also
Another motor option for you would be Lazarus at GT Thunder (he's close to you) he does good work.
Good luck and race safe!

Kill Switch and Nerf are must haves for most tracks.

Next is Width. Than Shocks unless you can swing both.

LAST is always motor work. I get beat mostly by better riders with less HP.

my experience with the Z, get that thing down to the ground, with 18" tires, then get some good a-arms, and shocks, axle, swing arm. the #1 mod i have that i think effects the way i ride the most would be suprisingly my Roll Design pegs with kick ups. b4 with all the other mods, i was a little unsure in corneringing but now with these pegs im all over the bike in corners, it makes it feel like a much more stable platform. GUSSET THAT FRAME! the stock suzuki chassis is crap. gusset it b4 doing anything other then light trail riding. motor work is important. but from my experience suspension is #1 on list of importance. get that out of the way and dialed, then worry about making your bike faster. a good 440 with proper head flow mod, carb, cams, and porting should be a rocket on the race track.
