no contest

Rubicon

it has almost as much groundclearence

and the turning radius is just as good on it i thought... it has the better transmition and is more dependible in ALL riding conditions ....

so if you want the best and longest lasting go with the rubicon

I can't wait for that 700cc Polaris to come out! As for the Ruby vs. SP500 thing...go test ride both and pick the one that suits you the best. I ride with a SP500 and it goes great. No problems and enough power to go through anything! The plushest ride on the planet also.

My opinion only...don't want anybody getting frustrated in here!

Tie a 3wd Rubicon to any 4wd Polaris that has a low range and lets see what direction they go .Now thats a shootout.

I here the Rubicon 10" is a fib from Honda and there is much less ground clearance below the diff.housing skid plate(lowest point)whats nexts measuring ground clearance from the handle bars.

Tim1,
8 inches from the bottom of the rear differential skid plate and 11 inches from the axle.

I can't tell you which to buy. Just thought I'd bring up the "first model year" thing. Whether it's a car, motorcycle, atv or something manufactured with a big price tag, I am leary of being the guinea-pig for any manufacturer. Yes sour grapes. I bought a first year GM car that turned out to be my worst nightmare. A lesson I will never forget.

I've tried the test you refer to. It was a very interesting procedure. First we connected the cable from the winch on the Polaris 700 to the ball on the hitch at the back of my Rubicion. I said hold on, and proceeded to pull my buddy out of the mud I just drove through. I don't have a winch on my Honda. Kind of a contridiction don't you think?

So you can see, the Honda/Polaris pull off has been done, luckily for my Polaris riding buddy anyway.
