Any ideas on the best ATV for the wife. I think I definitely want something in a full automatic (not that she isn't capable...just think she would prefer it). I was thinking in the lines of the Polaris Phoenix, or the Bombardier (Can-Am) DS-250. Why did they change to Can-Am anyways...could it be because so many people prounce Bombardier wrong? (Bom-Bar-Deer vs. Bom-Bar-Dee-Ay)....I digress. They are both around the $3000 mark which seems ok. The only other full auto quads in this range seem to be either Chinese Sports or Utility quads. I haven't ruled out a Utility, but being from SoCal...it seems that a lot of the riding we will do will be more in tune with sport quads.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Honda 250EX! I own two of them. Absoluely superb little machines! Older models have an autoclutch, and the newer models have a hybrid auto/hand clutch (like the Rekluse clutch). Solid, reliable, indestructible, it's a Honda........
Great machine for So. Calif. type riding. Post in the Honda forum, if you have any questions.

Yea I agree the 250ex is probably the best choice.
I didn't think my wife would want to shift either, but she took to our old Warrior pretty quickly. When we wanted to get her something that handled better the 250ex seemed too slow to her, so we ended up with the Raptor 350, same power as the Warrior but far superior handling and comfort.
In your case the 250ex covers you both ways now with the new auto/manual clutch. Unless she does not want shift AT ALL then I think the Polaris might be your only bet.
I'm not too sure on many other true CVT autos on any good entry sport machines. Some of the Dinli machines offer it, and Polaris and like someone mentioned the new Woverine.

If she is on the smaller side, and is willing to shift a full manual hand clutch, then the 300EX is a geat choice in a smaller machine. If she is larger, then even a 400EX or Z400 would be a great choice.
Thing is, for your budget you could probably get a new 250. Others would have to be used.
