Default 2001 traxter 500 starter clutch question

Okay I am not sure if this fits expert or general but I just picked up a 2001 traxter and the starter clutch is been diagnosed (by a dealer) as bad. I am a pro motorcycle mechanic but have very little atv experience (no brp) . so a quick heads up on whats ahead of me.

1. where is good place to grab a factory manual? I prefer factory and it could be on disc or flash drive.

2. after watching a couple videos on youtube I am not sure if it is best to pull the motor or do it in the chassis. I am leaning towards pulling it and doing it on the bench vs crawling under it but what say those that have done it?

3. Any things I should be aware of if I am going to be in the starter clutch area or have the motor out? Ie: other common wear items I should inspect while I am there?

4. is it normal the pull start is almost impossible to pull or do you think it related?

Thanks
