I cut 4 coils off the carb spring but i'm not sure what hole you are supposed to drill out to 1/8th? Anyone know?

In the plastic vacuum slide behind the jet needle(motor side) are two vacuum ports.
Drill these two vacuum ports to 1/8 inch.

Increase pilot jet from 45 to # 50
3 turns out idle mixture adjustment screw

When you change to a aftermarket exhaust, the bottom end will be alittle lean.
If you also add a performance cdi or advance your timing this will make it even more important to change the pilot jet to #50.

If you have an improved exhaust and/or modded timing go 50

I also think that if the temps and humidity are lower in the fall/winter - 50 would be best

Start at only 1 turn out(no closer) and turn out in half turn increments.

When you do a high rev downshift, do you experience any popping/erratic sounds from your exhaust pipe?
If you are at least 3 turns out and hear the sounds. Go to 50

The carb is not very sensitive to pilot jet changes. Going up from 40 to 50 does not affect fuel
delivery as much as flat slides.
