I just installed the RW Stage 3 kit with the race 7 cams, but didn't inlarge the valves. Can't wait to take it up to Sand Mt. during DS days for the first time since the mods. I did take it to Pismo and I really need the hill to see how it performs. The only thing I did notice is the front end likes to come up a lot more and I have to keep the rpm's up in the power band (similiar to a banshee).

Ok I will understand that JUST boring wont do much for power gains, so..... Would I be better off to just go with a stock bore 11.5:1 RWR piston, or will I gain more power with a 680 bore (2mm) with a 11.5:1 piston?? Will I gain anything or would I be just wasting time and money? Of course if/when I do this I will get cams, porting, valve springs to make everything work to potential.. So, is the 2mm bore worth it?

before u deside to go with HPR...i would wait and see how they turn out...eric puts out great stuff but this 730 kit he desiged could be full of problems...no one has run one that isnt a pami based cylinder yet. so before i spent my hard earned money i would wait and let them work the quorks out of it..jmo...
the tvi one makes great h.p. and is a awsome design if u are going to want to upgrade to nitrous. in some cases we have found some issues with the head gasket leaking...but i think thats an easy fix with the right gasket....some of the guys running this set-up are running large amounts of nos through it wihtout a gasket issue...
all in all, i dont think u could go wrong with either...both are full of potential...

I got back from glamis last night. My first ride on the MisterHP 730 engine. The 730 ran great (besides an unrelated valve seal leak). The 730 had great power, very smooth and tons of torque. The power was great for dune ridding and I think it will work great for trail ridding too.
This weekend, we camped with Eric and Randall along with two of the 800. The 800 use the same cylinder and piston as the 730, they just have stroked cranks. The 800 were some strong runners. Some were saying the 800 was too much for dune ridding and seemed a drag only type of engine. I think some of that may be due to the very aggressive cams they were running.
This weekend both 800 were non stop drag racing the hill and I rode the dunes all weekend with my 730, not ONE head gasket issue.
