Default can you "adjust" the clutch?

One thing to mention....which I didn't see posted here (or perhaps I missed it)

There is an adjustment on the end of the clutch cable. You need to pull the sheathing out to reveal it, but you can extend that out, perhaps that can help. I did on mine. My DS defintely grabs, I haven't ridden it very far (1 yard at most) but the clutch defintely grabs. I just wish it was a smoother and less tiring pull.

ya im almost wondering if i should have just gotten the 40% I havnt added a whole lot of power.... hopefully it wont take too long to build up my forearm so it dosnt get tiring as fast. Ill have to check the end of the cable and fiddle with that.

It sounds to me like you did everything correctly and it is working just fine.
The thing I think you called a do-dad....LOL Should be at about 1 oclock with the clutch left relaxed. (not ingaged).
As far as adjustment. I leave just a little bit of slack in the cable. Not much...But just a tad. That way you know that the clutch is doing the best that it possibly can for you. With this type of adjustment. My quad starts to roll when I let the clutch out and there is about a 1/2" between my lever and the grip.

You have to run the quad. There will always be a drag on the clutch plates. And it will seem even worse if the motor isn't running.
