Mod Quad End Cap observations and results
Well i just bought an 04 baja x and was out at st. anthony and sand mtn nevada for the past week. For the first 2 days i rode the bike stock to break it in. I then went to a 190 dynojet and put on the mod quad end cap. Kept the air box lid on and it increased the power over the whole powerband. It felt like it gave just as much power as a full pipe in the low and mid range but the top end is where the end cap comes up short. This end cap is great if you just want to ride your DS and are on a limited budget. For the price, i dont think you can get anything else that will improve your HP as much for the price of the mod quad end cap. It is no replacement for a full pipe but it is 1/5th the price and gives you 50-75% of what a full pipe gives you which i think is impressive. If you are on the fence about buying one, just do it, you wont regret it. I plan on going to a full pipe.

i was just about right on for jetting. With the air box lid off i was lean(pipes were glowing) and there was no sputter or bog. Most people like them but this is my 4th different DS650 i have owned and 3 out of those 4 had full pipes on them, i know what they are like. The 4th DS had a modified stock endcap and the modquad end cap feels like it has more power than that modded stock endcap. Like i said before. It is a great mod for the price if you are planning on keeping your DS close to stock but if you are planning to do any internal mods, you should consider a full pipe or just run this end cap till you plan on doing interal mods.
