I have it and I really like it. Randal has gone "above and beyond the call of duty" helping me dial in this carb. The only person that I would tell to get a TM48 over the 48HV would be a straight trail rider. But if you are only riding trails the stocker would really be the best.

does the 48 (lectron) seem to out perform the tm48 as in like the 46 out performs the tm 45?........is the gain from the tm 45 to the 48 as big as the gain from the stocker to the tm 45?

Check out bigbajas dyno runs on his photos page. Shows the comparison of the two carbs.

The 46HV is plenty big for any stock bore but if you ever plan to move up with the cc's then the 48HV is a better choice. The only disadvantage to the 48HV is how thin the intake mouth has to be ported.

i think im getting rid of the tm45 on alky....it makes great power but i spend most of my day riding trying to tune to catch up with this oklahoma weather....i dont have a exaust temp gage so that makes it that much more difficult....instead of buying one of those i think im just going to sell the carb and upgrade to either duels or the lectron 48........i think i would rather run nos over alky....less maintenence......i think i run better when my carb is ***** on with gas then tuned half *** on alky...

We run one on our 650....kicks @ss!

The bike made @62 HP and @48 ft/lbs on the TM45 (curve was ugly)

Made 67.1 HP and 52 ft/lbs on the HV48. (beautiful curve)

Those being the only changes for that run.

Will post pics soon.

BigBaja...you have some really nice curves yourself. (do not take the wrong way)
